About

I live in Iran where there has been over 130.000 deaths due to Covid until now. The vaccination program was slow but eventually I had my Sinopharm vaccinations. The global news coverage is neither helpful nor informative. Horrific images of people being carried away by force in China and pensioners in homes touching family members through glass windows are vivid in my mind. I used to think there was a safe place to go when Iran got too much … now I wonder. I am angry at World leaders for not preparing us for this yet I am astounded and re assured by the people of the World coming together in solidarity as they have. Only by keeping calm and rational … wearing masks, hand washing, social distancing and vaccinations gave us some feeling of control. My piece started off hopeful and bright but as the situation got worse and new variants kept appearing, it seemed to get darker , less coherent and more dispersed – a bit like the inside of my head . I am trying to stay positive ….and extremely indebted to all social media platforms!
