The first opportunity to join in the Covid-19 solution was making cloth masks and I made over 200 in the spring of 2020. Basic safety measures crossed with sewing skills at a time we were all desperate to find a way to stay safe. I was immediately dismayed but not surprised that fascist US leaders downplayed the health crisis as the death toll mounted. Fear is used as a tool among those who stoke culture wars with no real solutions. I got vaccinated as soon as possible and see disinformation rampant, even spouted from those who have personally been vaccinated. Karma is never instant enough. Stitching has been my therapy through this time. I welcome the opportunity to join this worldwide effort to document when we lived through a real time scientific experiment. May awareness and truth triumph.
